Deep sea mining. My topic for our unique earth Expo I think I went well because so many people wanted to know about deep sea fuel mining and how serious it is.

BD1495FD-5870-4859-998F-E836E3F082F7-q9vw2jI chose deep sea mining because I really wanted to know what it is and how they do it, and I thought that iMovie would work for deep sea mining. I really wanted to know what they mine for and how serious it is.

I went well because I had a lot of people because they didn’t want to know about deep sea mining and what they mine for and fun facts about mining. I think that my model helped explain mining.

I learnt that mining kills thousands of fish and the oil from the tools they use can leak and spread it to the ocean and kill thousands of fish from the oil.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

School Concert

“She played the fiddle in an Irish band,” hi this is the day of our school concert. My grade is doing, Gallwaygirl, with tangled and titanic music mixed in one song. I wasn’t to nervous on the dress rehearsal (practice). I was very nervous because we had our family members there and it was the good one. We had the 15th dance.

During the show it was good because everything went well but on the dress rehearsal we stuffed up a little but the good one went well. The good copy I was very , very nervous. My favourite part was the whole dance because I  couldn’t  think of a good part because I liked it all. I liked all of the dances because they were all different

when the performance was finished it was good because it was over, but the bad thing was it was boring watching everyone else’s because we had to wait for heaps more to finish. When it finished I was really excited because we had finished.

 

Computer Science Week

So the computer science week. The computer science week is when billions of schools worldwide contribute in the HOC ( hour of code). The hour of code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students. The hour of code is to learn the basics of coding. It is a worldwide thing. Over 400 partners and 200,000 educators worldwide. Here’s the link https://hourofcode.com/au.

Coding is a thing like putting blocks on top of each other and the blocks have things that you person can do. You have to code your person to get to the finish. It is important to learn how to code because if you get a job of being a coder you won’t know what to do so you might get fired.

Cardboard Car Regatta

As the kid said “ GO “ !, my heart was pounding as the kid said go because I was the first runner for my team. Today is the cardboard car regatta, it is the day of the RACV energy breakthrough. The energy breakthrough is when the 5 6 s at our school go to  Maryborough and ride 8 km in 1 day and they do laps.

We were making shapes for our cars we had to use hacks to make shapes for our cars, The shape that I was doing was a semicircle. My hack was to get a circular lid or container and trase it all the way around and draw a line through the centre and rub out the other side.

When we were in our groups it really helped us work together in a team. I had to do the dashboard, one of the sides and the lights, Cooper did what we know about our inquiry and rotation and revolution, Bailey did our number plate and measured the paper that goes on the side of the box and did the other side, and last Hayley did the wheels of the cart and drew an alian that goes on the back of the cart.

On the front of the car was all of the information, the earth spins around the sun and that causes a year , and day and night  is formed when the earths rotations around it’s self.

We used the circumference, radius and the diameter to draw our wheels and  make our supports for our car.

Coach Approach

Coach Approach!Again! The fun friday

We did ultimate frisbee, AFL, hip hop, baseball, team work and lacrosse. In ultimate frisbee I loved it because I have had a lot of practice at home because I have a frisbee, I also found it difficult because of the wind it kept flying the frisbee away. The three tip words were Grip it, Whip it and point it.

Next we had hip hop and I didn’t really like it because I am not a very good dancer, first we did some stretches then we got in hip hop and did some proper hip hop moves.

Next was team work, I liked this one because in teams we had to tell each person how to get through the maze, first the ladie showed up the map of getting through and we had to guide them through the maze.

Next I did lacrosse and I worked with Jack and you had to shovel the ball up once your partner had rolled it to you then we had some races and your partner had to roll the ball and you had to shovel it up and run around your partner.

Here comes the great one baseball, first we had to roll the ball between our partner and shovel the ball up between ourselves, next was races and we threw the ball between each other and Jack and I won twice in a row.

last but not least was footy and our first activity was to kick the ball and hit the bin or kick the ball and get it in the bin, but unfortunately my group lost twice, but finally we had to get into 2 teams and Matt ordered us into numbers and he called out our number and we had to handball it in the goals and my team lost

Super Digital Citizen

 Yesterday our grade was talking about super digital citizenship. We had to make a super hero that could not allow bad thing on the internet. My superhero could shoot this magic thing out of his magic USB stop inappropriate thing without the persons permission. We had to create a comic strip on paper. We had to use paper if  we didn’t have this special app on our iPads. Being a superhero we had to use the three special words, they are Safe, Respectful and Responsible, in our three comics strips.
